Rare Coins!

Rare coins are considered to be a "safer" investment as they hold thier value better and don't fluctuate in price as easily as gold and silver bullion.  A favorite of many coin collectors is the Saint Gaudens Double Eagle pictured above.

One rule of thumb to follow when purchasing Saint Gaudens double eagles is to not pay more than a 200% premium over the spot price of gold.  As the price of gold is fairly low right now, I would say it is a good time to get your hands on some of these beautiful coins while you can still afford it.

More on Saint Gaudens can be found at the following link:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Gaudens_Double_Eagle

Coins vary in price depending on thier "Grade" or quality.  When buying coins it is always best to purchase coins that have been graded by one of the two most respected coin graders in the business.  One of the best and most respected coin grading services around is PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service).  The other is NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation).  I'm sure other services do a fine job of grading but why go with anything other than the best?  You can find out more about PCGS at the following link:  http://www.pcgs.com/aboutus.chtml
